Client: National Crime Agency
Services: Video, strategy, animation

The National Crime Agency (NCA) asked us to help them raise awareness of sextortion across the UK and encourage victims to report the crime to the police. Through its social media channels, the NCA wanted to engage with two target audiences: millennials and over 55s.

With such different audiences, we decided to take two different approaches. First, we conceptualised and produced a reaction-style video for the millennial audience, which featured popular YouTuber and influencer, Jaackmaate. It aimed to show how easy it can be to fall into a trap and had the sort of shock factor that can make a lasting impression.

We also created and produced an animation using a celebrity voiceover artist – Brian Caplan, formerly of Coronation Street. We adapted a real-life victim statement and animated characters to create a story that would really resonate. From concept to storyboard, we managed the whole production process and made sure the final animations could be used across multiple social media platforms.

Both videos were published on the NCA’s YouTube channel and shared across all their social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
